Top 7 Brainiacs Mass Comm. 2011/2013

Two years was a long time, however short it is, but the people that made this list everyone will agree that they made the most of their time during their spell in the school. These young men could chew book and also regurgitate the piece out of their brain when the time warrants.
For the force they were, they deserve an award which would be an epitaph of their phenomenal strides in each academic session. Although, the National Association Of Mass Communication Students (Kwara State Polytechnic) held an award presentation and the dinner to celebrate these exceptional folks, unfortunately, they never went home with a plaque ‘less of a call up.
The association decided to sell the credibility of the awards to trash slots like; Mr Personality, Mr Fancy, Miss Tosh, Miss Portable amongst other pieces of shit; some were mad happy they got a plaque for those slots though.
Back to the business, the list below is an attempt to tell these brilliant minds that even if the association do not recognise them, we at least do. Now this should suffice;
7.  Egunjobi Tunde: This fellow is not just the regular guy. He successfully kept a covert identity up till the final moments of our stay in school. He is not the type to answer or throw questions at lecturers just to get attention; he lets his pen do the job for him. Even though he stirred the curiosity of lecturers, he never blew his cover for once; except for the SIWES defence period when he had to introduce himself amidst thunderous applause.
6.  Ibrahim Rukayat: Another introvert like Tunde, but then, she is a symbol of excellence. She would rather sit on the floor to receive lectures than miss one. It would surprise no one if she ends up with the big D’ as indeed a filled barrel will make no damn noise. Eyan re!
5.  Ishola Kafayat Olanike: This one is a renaissance woman or perhaps girl, her understanding of courses only takes a moment to spread like the process of diffusion and even osmosis; the hardest bit of course will permeate her brain cells within seconds. However, modesty will make her defy her brilliance. But hey Nike, stop pretending, we know the stuffs you’re made of!
4.  Aliu Ahmed Olalekan: The chief editor of the An-Nauteeq magazine is one elusive personality with whimsical sense of humour. He was also a member of the Public Relations committee for the National Association of Mass Communication Students. His résumé is fully loaded, if you doubt this, kindly give him a pen and paper; sure enough you will see the way vocabulary spills like a bag of loose beans. Walking Encyclopaedia!
3.  Adeshina Abdul-Azeez: This man is an enigma, or better still one could say he is the Buddha of our class. He encompasses vast knowledge of the Holy Quran and couple of Hadiths. During the NAMCOS election manifesto 2012, he showed sheer intelligence on the podium with over-the-top counter-argument to Shonibare John Abiodun’s (Oyedepo) campaign kerfuffle. He however emerged victorious in the election as the Speaker/SRC at the detriment of his GP. But still he never failed to make the sea ripple violently.
2.  Ayanwale Emmanuel ‘Juwon: Comrade Paragon as he is fondly called among the students’ union cabinet member is the General Secretary Assistant of the Kwara State Polytechnic Students’ Union. His affiliation to the upper echelon did not make his academic performance quiver. With his sights set on activism and print journalism, he notched up the award of the Most Influential Personality in the department during the NAMCOS award gala 2013 to scooping mind-blowing 46 by lines at the Herald Newspaper within four months. As if that was not enough he dominated nearly all pages of Campus Echoes with vigorous stories from several beats. There is no gainsaying; the department might want to change the name of its magazine to “Paragon Echoes” though. Is there anybody to challenge his Distinction? Damn! He’s got a whole lot on his chase.
1.  Adeniyi Moses: He could have been second fiddle to Emmanuel if it hadn’t been for his consistency. During the great depression of 2012 after the release of 2nd semester results for first years, he was the only person that survived the purge. He stands at a towering 6’5ft and that also accentuates his level of intelligence (The taller you are the greater the odds fi your intelligence). Could you just give this man the ovation he deserves? Although he needs to sharpen his mind, brain alone no fit do am!
